Nexev Pty Ltd : Introduction about our team

Nexev Pty Ltd is a multidisciplinary team focused on building AI-driven clinical decision support systems to improve safety in dialysis care.

The team is led by Doyoung Kim, Founder and CEO, a medical student who brings a strong clinical perspective to the company. His work is grounded in understanding how dialysis actually operates at the bedside and where current systems fail to support timely decision-making. This clinical-first approach defines the direction of Nexev, ensuring that the technology is built around real patient needs rather than theoretical models.

Arun Sebastian, Chief Technology Officer, leads the development of the core AI system. With a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, he is responsible for designing and implementing machine learning models that can process complex dialysis data in real time. His experience in clinical-grade AI systems and end-to-end model development ensures that Nexev’s technology is both technically robust and aligned with regulatory pathways.

Yee Cheng Ng contributes as an engineer with a focus on AI systems and data modelling. His work centres on extracting meaningful temporal patterns from dialysis data, helping the system understand how patient physiology evolves during a session and improving the accuracy of predictive models.

Sejal Mall, with a background in biomedical engineering, focuses on data validation and system reliability. She plays a key role in ensuring that datasets are clean, consistent, and clinically meaningful, which is essential for building trustworthy AI systems in healthcare.

Abdulqudus Lawal, an engineer with experience in cardiac-related systems, leads efforts in model evaluation and performance translation. His work focuses on ensuring that predictions are not only accurate but also clinically usable, bridging the gap between algorithm output and real-world decision-making.

Angelina Yoon contributes from a clinical research perspective, supporting clinician engagement, study coordination, and the integration of Nexev’s system into healthcare environments. Her role ensures that the technology aligns with clinical workflows and research standards.
